Mihai Gutu is the Moldova country director for The Leavitt Institute for International Development. He received his Bachelor’s in Law from Moldova State University and has been involved with TLI since 2013. He reached the finals of the mock trial national competition in 2014, and won the competition in 2015. Later that year, Mihai spent several weeks in Kansas as a TLI intern and later worked as a program coordinator for the institute’s work in Moldova. Mihai is excited to be a part of a team that strives to promote professional cooperation among legal professionals on an international stage. He strongly believes in the potential of the TLI to become a worldwide organization that will help professionals from across the globe strengthen the relationship between the principles of democracy and the rule of law.
